Best Foods wanted to launch a retail brand targeting customers seeking out quick and easy meal solutions, specifically fuss-free, frozen, value family meals.
This project came at a time when consumer trends favoured eating at home, and data supported that meal solutions and specifically frozen products were growing in popularity.
The market research we conducted identified where the brand would be best positioned against current supermarket own brands and other existing value product brands.
The Brief
We worked closely with Best Foods to conceptualise the name ‘Scoff’d’ and hone the brand proposition.
The strapline ‘Good food, made easy’ further supported the simplicity of these tasty yet simple meals.
In keeping with this we developed a distinctive brand identity capturing the essence of simplicity and effectiveness, and created a clean, fun and bold logo that would stand out on the shelf. To support the brand we drew up a set of brand guidelines and chose a witty and playful tone of voice that spoke to busy parents who are looking for quick, easy, tasty mealtime solutions for their family.
The Result
For the packaging design we opted for clear and clean photography, shot in our studio, to showcase the product and highlight the flavour elements.
To support Best Foods in bringing these products to market we developed a range of mockups and sales materials – essential for effectively presenting the product to retailers and buyers.
Additionally, we created social media assets to help build brand awareness online.
We also designed and built the brand’s website www.scoffd.com providing easy access to product information for customers.
For their latest launch, Scoff’d Wings, we were able to support Best Foods from the initial product design to launching in just six weeks!
