The Challenge
Buzz Bingo wanted a consultancy that could support them to develop their internal company values and establish their company purpose as part of a larger initiative to transform their organisational culture. They needed to ensure that the values resonated with employees across all levels and reflected the leadership team’s ambitions for the business. We were excited to work with them on this, given our long term relationship with their Recruitment team.
The Solution
To address this challenge, we embarked on a comprehensive listening stage, something we believe to be crucial to the success of the values. We set out on a series of workshops across the country to talk to focus groups of Colleagues from all levels of the business about what working at Buzz meant to them, and what the business stood for. We conducted one-to-one interviews with the senior leadership team, and distributed an online questionnaire to every person in the organisation to ensure every voice was heard.
We analysed the gathered data to identify key themes and developed a set of values and behaviours that aligned with the feedback we’d received. These values were then reviewed and refined through further discussions with focus groups and senior leadership to ensure what we had produced rang true with them.
The Results
The feedback from both the focus groups and senior leadership was overwhelmingly positive, and the values were successfully adopted under the people brand ‘Remarkable People belong at Buzz’ throughout the organisation. Additionally, we designed creative hand-drawn illustrations to visually represent the values, which were applied across various assets, documents, and internal wall art in Buzz Bingo’s national network of clubs.
